| YOUTH - Alpine Safety Awareness Programs: |
- Alpine safety awareness programs are taught at no charge in every middle and high school in Whatcom County, in addition to schools throughout the northwest.
- The curriculum has been formally accepted by the Bellingham School District Curriculum Committee and is taught by volunteer college students from Western Washington University.
- The engaging one-hour classroom presentations cover a variety of topics, including avalanche terrain, ski area signs and policies, safety procedures, information sources, risk assessment, and safety gear.
- Parents are invited to attend an optional on-the-hill training that takes place at local ski areas.
- Instruction on-the-hill includes hands-on training about safety gear and procedures

| ADULT - Alpine Safety Awareness Programs: |
- Alpine awareness presentations are delivered twice a month during the evening at local outdoor retailer venues throughout the winter season.
- Avalanche courses are taught at universities and local outdoor retailers by professionally trained American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) instructors
- Instructor training seminars are taught each winter season to potential ASAP volunteers at ski areas and colleges not previously targeted
